The South Carolina Association of Physical Plant Administrators (SCAPPA) was formed for the purpose of strengthening professionalism among Physical Plant Administrators by:

  1. Promoting the common interest in maintenance, care and operation of Physical Plants used by universities and colleges within South Carolina.
  2. Fostering professionalism among the persons engaged in this work.
  3. Providing information services, programs and activities to its members.
  4. Representing the interests of its members to the Higher Education Community and other groups.
